We are thrilled to say that our very own Amy Clement was a featured panel speaker at Crew Charlotte's June Luncheon: "Reimagining Vintage Office Design." The event highlighted a community-wide design competition by Center City Partners and CBI, aimed at transforming Uptown's historic office spaces. The two winning projects, Brooklyn & Church and 301 South College, showcased innovative conversions that breathe new life into these iconic buildings. Amy shared valuable insights on preserving the charm of these structures while meeting modern needs — reflecting our commitment at Childress Klein to urban innovation and sustainability. In the spirit of continual evolution and forward-thinking, we are proud to draw attention to the recently unveiled SouthPark Forward 2035 Vision Plan. This promising initiative represents an unwavering commitment to the growth and prosperity of the SouthPark community, a testament to the dedication of its stakeholders and partners. The vision plan, which recommends approximately 65 projects and programs, encompasses a significant investment of $250 million in public and private projects. By focusing on creating a walkable, energetic community where people connect and businesses flourish, the plan underscores the strategic importance of SouthPark as a premier shopping destination on the East Coast. Our Retail Partner, Chris Thomas, who serves as board chairman for SouthPark Community Partners, rightly noted that the plan builds upon years of planning, investment, and leadership. He also highlighted the strategic decision to forego ranking projects by priority or rigid timelines, a move designed to maximize flexibility and leverage development cycles, funding opportunities, and partnerships that increase impact. At Childress Klein, we are eager to continue supporting and participating in this ambitious journey towards the revitalization of SouthPark. We believe in the power of community, and we are confident in our collective ability to transform this vision into reality. In a unique collaborative initiative on Saturday, April 13th, Childress Klein, Hilton Charlotte Uptown, the Males Place, and Bill Sloan have transformed the existing courtyard fountain at 301 S College Center into a flourishing herb garden. In line with our steadfast commitment to sustainability and strategic use of space, this garden is home to a myriad of herbs, including rosemary, oregano, and basil. These herbs will soon enhance the dishes served at the Coastal Kitchen Bar and Grill. We look forward with confidence to the ongoing growth and impact of this project. Our thanks go out to all collaborators, Hilton Charlotte Uptown, Piedmont Culinary Guild, and The Males Place Inc, for their invaluable contributions to realizing this vision.

We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding success of our newest Multifamily development, Element Barclay Station, a testament to the power of perseverance and collaboration. Successfully navigating through supply chain disruptions and a challenging permitting environment, this $59 million apartment project, developed in collaboration with Wilmington-based Cameron Management, was completed last year. This 286-unit, Class A multifamily complex at 1841 Dusty Miller Lane, is the second apartment complex we've developed with Wilmington-based Cameron Management. With a rapid lease-up pace that's led to 90% occupancy, Element Barclay Station has surpassed average rates for comparable properties in the market. This accomplishment reflects not only the resilience and innovation of our project team and partners, but also the attractiveness of our development. In recognition of its market-transforming impact, Element Barclay Station received the prestigious 2024 CoStar Impact Award. Our congratulations go out to our team, and we extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved. For more insights about Element Barclay Station and to appreciate the journey, we invite you to visit our website -> https://lnkd.in/eEKUxHEd.
