Pair programming is a collaborative coding approach where two developers work together at one workstation, taking turns as 'driver' (typing and coding) and 'observer' (reviewing and strategizing). This method can boost code quality, problem-solving, and learning. We'd love to know if you've experienced it!

🌟How to Create the Project Vision🌟 Creating a project vision is one of the most important things in any project you create. It is crucial to understand what you need to implement and its goals 🎯. A clear vision simplifies the process and gives you an overview of what to work on and when your project is ready for showing 🚀. Here are a few methods to help you figure that out: 𝗠𝗩𝗣 MVP stands for 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝗩𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁. It’s about the 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 your project needs and how it should work to meet the basics of your goals 📝. This simplest version lets you test ideas and gather feedback. It’s the most basic, shareable form of your project 📦. 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁-𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲, 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱-𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲-𝘁𝗼-𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 - 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁-𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲: Major features without which the project can’t function ⚙️. These form the MVP and define its core value. - 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱-𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲: Important features that can come later 🔄. These are added after validating the MVP to keep initial requirements manageable.7 - 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲-𝘁𝗼-𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲: These desirable features improve user experience but are not essential ✨. They’re often postponed to future versions to keep the focus on MVP. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗼𝗴 A project backlog is where you bring everything together into actionable steps 📋. It’s the 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 of all planned, postponed, and ready-to-create features. The backlog is regularly updated to match your project requirements 🔄. In conclusion, creating a project vision is like setting the direction of your ship 🛳️. It’s always better to know where you’re going before you start! 🤓𝗣𝗿𝗼 𝗧𝗶𝗽: You can practice all these tips in #Chingu Voyages, where you work with remote teams and agile methodology. The next voyage starts November 4—get ready to join us and grow your career as a web developer! 🌍👩💻 Today is the last day to submit your solo project—don’t miss out! #Chingu #ChinguVoyage

Hello beautiful people, I'm thrilled to share that I've completed my first 6-week voyage (Voyage 51) as Product Owner with Chingu, a global collaboration platform and coding-cohort generator.  I’m grateful I was able to apply the skills I developed over the years through my work experience and consistent training/development to a distinct and unique project.  This experience allowed me to connect with motivated professionals with a shared goal to learn and build together. Hilda Vallapuram Satomi Li Anna Bowen Emily Arnold Leonardo Siqueira Ivan Rebolledo Lamont R. Thompson, PSM, AWS Clarissa Jaime   Here's just a few things we accomplished in 6 weeks: ⚡️ Conducted and evaluated research and the project brief requirements. ⚡️ Developed comprehensive user flows. ⚡️ Built a lean brand from the ground up by using the Element Collage technique. ⚡️ Implemented technical concepts to create production-ready user interface designs. ⚡️ Designed and built a MVP for an expense splitting/tracking platform. ⚡️ Executed a set of usability tests and optimized designs based on user feedback. Yours truly, Patrick Pate #productowner #productdesigner #uxdesigner #learning #upskilling

Aaand... it's a wrap! This six-week long, I-remembered-that-I-forgot-to-eat kind of journey has come to an end. Six weeks of building a software project from scratch; six weeks that turned into seven because our team of 6 developers shrunk to just 2 halfway through; six weeks of mastering Next.js from 0 to (almost) hero. In other words, despite all the odds, we built a minimum viable product of an expense splitting app within Chingu's 51's voyage. More details about our project to follow!

Huge thanks to Jim Medlock for the recognition and to everyone who participated with their thoughtful questions and reflections.  Let's keep pushing boundaries, learning from each other, and adding a sprinkle of empathy into our code. Together, we can build more than just apps—we can build a better, more connected community! 🚀💡 #Chingu #ChinguSpotlight #ChinguRoundtable #ChinguVoyage

🚀 I recently gave an energizing talk on Emotional Intelligence at Chingu’s Weekly Spotlight sessions. [For starters, Chingu is a dynamic collaboration platform that connects passionate learners to achieve shared goals in coding and beyond 🌍💻]. During the session, we dived into real-life scenarios—like how to stay calm when: - Those deadlines loom ⏰ - That one manager constantly resists embracing agile 🤔 - That someone who always suggests "just one more feature" 🙄 - And many more… Their insightful questions and reflections not only inspired me but also sparked critical thinking, ultimately proving that Emotional Intelligence can be a game-changer in tech teamwork. Big shoutout to Chingu for the opportunity to connect with such a vibrant community and to Jim Medlock for the recognition - it truly means a lot! Let’s keep pushing boundaries, learning from each other, and sprinkling a little empathy into our code. Together, we can build more than just apps! 💻🌟 https://lnkd.in/eVWJ6QH9

🛠️ What Is Docker? We’ve all heard (or maybe even said) the classic phrase, "It worked on my machine!" 😅 The answer to this headache? #Docker. 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿 is a platform that packages your application and everything it needs—like libraries and dependencies—into containers. These containers run on the #Docker Engine, ensuring your app works the same way across different environments. This consistency brings huge benefits, especially for teamwork. 🤝 --- ✨ Benefits of Using Docker 📌 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 With Docker, you don’t have to worry about different operating systems, package versions, or strange configurations messing things up. The container ensures that your application behaves the same on every machine, meaning no more "It works on my machine." 🙌 📌 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗻𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 Instead of manually installing dependencies and figuring out complex configurations, new team members can simply pull a Docker image or use a pre-configured Docker Compose setup. 🚀 This makes onboarding quicker and easier! 📌 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗜𝗻 Docker excels at scaling your application. You can run multiple containers on the same host or across multiple machines. 🌍 If one container experiences a surge in traffic, you can easily spin up more instances to handle the load. Plus, containers are isolated from each other, adding an extra layer of security. 🔒 If one container crashes or has a memory leak, the others will keep running smoothly. And because of this isolation, containers don’t interfere with each other—you can even limit what each container has access to. 🎉 Special thanks to Shawn Axsom Director of Engineering at Docker, for making our lives easier! 📅𝘕𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘝𝘰𝘺𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘕𝘰𝘷 4. 𝘚𝘪𝘨𝘯 𝘶𝘱 𝘣𝘺 𝘖𝘤𝘵 27. 👉Sign up and don't miss the chance to 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 in remote teams. #Chingu #ChinguVoyage #Docker
