A report by Benton Institute for Broadband and Society finds that the only way to accelerate broadband network construction is to put the majority of responsibility on local government to provide permits to ISPs. The report goes on to say that each local government has a unique permitting process and that it’s critical to foster relationships with local permitting authorities. We couldn’t agree more. CHR’s Dustin Heath outlines these same thoughts in a recent blog post: https://lnkd.in/gPj7PR5x #connectivity #permitting #broadband #CHRSolutions

"Always be prepared," said Jason Malmquist when he sat down with Bradford Randall with Broadband Communities to discuss what providers should do when a disaster hits. Whether it be a natural disaster like floods and hurricanes, or a cybersecurity breach, being proactive in your planning is crucial. #broadband #disasterrecovery #cybersecurity
Connectivity, while it might be in short supply after a disaster, is the most crucial element of disaster response, according to Jason Malmquist, an executive VP and head of software and IT business services at CHR Solutions.
