This September, Christie's unveiled its new Asia Pacific Headquarters at The Henderson in Hong Kong. We were pleased to present outstanding properties during the inaugural sales from September 22nd to 26th. Our listings spanned the globe, featuring properties from Los Angeles to Germany, including the Son Bielo Estate in Mallorca, Spain (Luxury Estates Mallorca ® - Christie's International Real Estate), and the Quinta de Algria Estate in Sintra, Portugal (Porta da Frente Christie's International Real Estate). All properties can be found in our Luxury Living Booklet for the Fall and Winter season. Additionally, Christie's The Au Bak Ling Collection achieved a total sale of HK$87M/US$11.2M with a 100% sell-through rate, exceeding the low estimate by 160%. The groundbreaking and historic sale series Gen One: Innovations from the Paul G. Allen Collection concluded September 12, 2024 with the closing of two online sales: Firsts: The History of Computing achieved $3,635,982—highest total ever for a history of computing auction—and Over the Horizon: Art of the Future achieved $2,927,358. Both sales exceed expectations, selling 100% by lot and well over their estimates. Together with the live auction on September 10, 2024, the collection totaled $16,816,840.

Christie's is honoured to present Claude Monet’s seminal Nymphéas. Created 125 years ago, it had remained in the Monet family for many years and is now being offered from a distinguished private collection. This masterpiece is making its first appearance at auction and is one of the highlights of the 20th/ 21st Century Inaugural Evening Sale at The Henderson on 26 September. It is one of the very first of Monet’s works to take as its subject, his beloved water-lily pond at his Giverny home.
