CI Compass PI and Director Ewa Deelman recently visited the NSF NOIRLab Rubin Observatory. Read about her experience and see photos below ⬇️
Thank you very much William O'Mullane and Ranpal Gill, PMP® for an awesome visit to the National Science Foundation (NSF) U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) NSF NOIRLab Rubin Observatory! I really enjoyed learning about the engineering and scientific challenges that come into play when building such a sophisticated instrument. I cannot wait to see all the discoveries the Rubin Observatory will enable. We, at CI Compass are happy to continue to build a community around National Science Foundation (NSF)’s Major and Midcale Research Infrastructures! Thanks to Paola Buitrago for joining me on the visit and taking pictures. USC Information Sciences Institute
