The CiminoCare Angels team was out in full force on June 27th for the annual Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center Cruise Around the World fundraiser! Great food, great desserts, and great to support this cause of helping family caregivers care for their loved ones!

June is Alzheimer's and Brain Health Awareness Month! A time to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Our care teams are dedicated to providing quality person-centered care within our communities, taking into consideration each resident's care needs as well as providing resources to support them and their families. Creativity Brings Purpose - Congratulations Mac on your successful Art Exhibit. Thanks to the vision and dedication of the team at Grand River Villa and Artisan Minds, Mac celebrated his first art exhibit at the Art & Soul Gallery. In addition, Artisan Minds and Tiffany Paige Ramirez created handmade note cards with his art for him to use to thank people for their support. This is person-centered engagement in action.

We celebrate aging! Do you know what was happening in 1917 - WWI battles, Woodrow Wilson was President, the first streetcar ran in San Francisco, the Silent Sentinels were protesting in support of the women's suffrage movement, AND Virginia W was born! Today at CiminoCare community, EagleLake Village in Susanville, they went into full celebration mode to celebrate Virginia's 106 birthday!! She had VIP guests, including Mark Cimino and the elementary children who are 100 years her junior. Her favorite baseball team, the San Francisco Giants sent a special package thanking her for her years as a loyal fan and of course we had cake (no photos of the 106 candles)! A moment to pause and reflect - November 8th marked the 5 year anniversary of the Camp Fire that destroyed the town of Paradise and much more. Sunshine Assisted Living lost a home, while a second home was severely damaged. Blessings that everyone evacuated safely.  Five years later we are reminded of #paradisestrong.  Team members and residents marked the anniversary with hand prints of hope, the dedication of the time capsule and 85 seconds of silence to honor and remember the 85 people who lost their lives in the fire. CiminoCare's commitment to being part of rebuilding the thriving community of Paradise remains strong. #paradisestrong #
