We’ve just been focused on a few things to surprise and delight… award-winning time lapse captures the essence of it. THANK YOU! Join us, renew us, visit us again soon. ❤️🥰
I can’t stop watching this incredible compilation of the past seven years! The goals of Cincinnati Museum Center that we have discussed for many years —financial sustainability, more interesting content, increasing science education and a drive to more attendance—have come to life. So many have been a part of it, but to see it captured in this video is pretty amazing. AND we did it in the midst of global pandemic. We passed the sales tax vote in November 2014 to support much of the historic restoration of Union Terminal. We began that work in 2016 and began our private fundraising campaign to transform our learning experiences. Look at what you’ve made possible! I am overwhelmed with tears of joy to see this video and comprehend that we took the building apart and put all this incredible content in it. We officially concluded the Champion More Curiosity Campaign this summer and can draw the line under an UNPRECENTED $123 MILLION dollars raised over the past seven years. We are going to keep celebrating these milestones and the impact that it makes on our community. AND, we are always thinking about our future responsibilities. THANK YOU for being a part of making CMC a vital community asset for generations. Thank you for your leadership as we move into the next phases of this infinite organization! Come visit soon!

You’d think that after seeing this place almost daily for years that it would start to lose its sparkle, but no, #UnionTerminal is always a wonder to behold. This week’s #TerminalTuesday comes from Cynthia van Golen on Instagram: https://lnkd.in/g-wJ9GMb

Sharing new OMNIMAX® films in our domed theater is always exciting for us, but we're especially stoked about T. REX - now playing, by the way - because our very own Paleontology team is featured IN THE FILM! While guests enjoy the lush sights of Laramidia in the Late Cretaceous period and get info nuggets about the Greatest Of All Tyrants, they'll also get to meet Glenn Storrs, our Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology and Associate Vice President of Science and Research, and catch a glimpse of our Dinosaur Hall and Paleo Lab. We are always so proud of the work our people are doing so it's extra fun when they get featured in big projects like this. Way to go, Glenn! Visit https://bit.ly/3Ul44gp to learn more about the film and get your tickets.

We’re celebrating #ArchivesMonth, and what better way to start us off than by sharing this homerun clip of Pete Rose, the Hit King himself, on Opening Day at Crosley Field in 1969? #FunFindsFriday Visit https://lnkd.in/gvCeFeZd to view the full clip on our YouTube channel. As part of our celebration this month, we’re hosting a FREE Mini-Film Festival in the historic Newsreel Theater on Saturday, October 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Featured selections will include moving image clips from our Collections of the Melody Showcase, Midwestern Hayride, Soul Street and more. Many of the clips have not been viewed since their original showcase and most will be shared publicly for the first time in decades! Video file - Home_run_Clip_w_Captions_SM_Crosley_Field_MI_93_40: Opening Day at Crosley Field, 1969 shows the Reds going up against the LA Dodgers. This brief snippet features the cityscape of 1960s Cincinnati and a stellar homerun by Pete Rose. #PeteRose #Reds #Baseball #MLB

Our artifacts are saying TTFN (Ta-Ta For Now) to CVG Airport - Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport ahead of their extensive renovations. There's a lot to move out before they can get started but, as always, we're having fun doing it.
This week, we bid a fond farewell to the vintage cars and steamboats that have been on display at CVG for many years thanks to our great partnership with the Cincinnati Museum Center. These and other displays are departing the airport so we can make space for our multi-year facility modernization program, Elevate CVG. Learn more about those plans here: https://lnkd.in/ghWmPfNM
