Innovative Training Methods in Healthcare Cinematic Health's ReadyCNA revolutionizes CNA training with our story-based learning approach. Effective CNA training is more than just remembering facts—it’s about effectively applying those skills in real-life caregiving scenarios. Here’s why story-based learning is a game-changer: Engagement: By harnessing narrative techniques, we create emotional connections that make the learning experience more memorable and impactful. Retention: Students are more likely to recall training content long after lessons conclude, thanks to the engaging narrative context. #CNAs and other direct care workers are often forgotten. They provide hands-on care and frequently carry high patient work loads. It's no surprise that so many of them are experiencing PTSD following COVID. This KFF Health News article is eye-opening. It details what so many nurse aides dealt with during the pandemic. This excerpt details what CNAs at one facility experience"d: Investigators said that “at least 80 staff members” tested positive for covid, citing “at least in part” the management’s “failure to provide and require the use of proper protective equipment,” even restricting the use of masks. They included a disciplinary letter sent to one nursing assistant who had donned a mask as he cared for a sick veteran overnight in March. “Your actions are disruptive, extremely inappropriate,” it said. Having been a #nursingassistant and working alongside hundreds of them as a nurse, I must say that the pandemic only illuminated an already problematic situation. We constantly ask them to do more with less and fail to invest in their #education and #traininIt's It's time to support our #directcareworkers and invest in them. #nursesonlinkedin #healthcareonlinked https://lnkd.in/gZxEx5A9
