Another beautiful day in the office! For this particular project, we are drilling/installing 15 soil vapor extraction wells (SVE) for an active vapor intrusion mitigation system (VIMS). Occupants of these buildings will soon feel at ease knowing they are working in a clean air environment! Making the world a healthier place one day at a time. Hope everybody has a wonderful day today!🙏🏻

Last Thursday, the Citadel EHS team had a fantastic time participating in and sponsoring the Annual Minigolf Tournament hosted by USGBC California! Our team - Sherrie Chavez, Stephane Karp, Astrid Galindo, Dylan Harrington, CDPH, and Victoria Codella, MSES, CDPH, CSST, CSP - enjoyed a day of friendly competition while supporting a cause close to our hearts. This year’s event specifically funded community gardens and equitable fresh food resources for underserved communities in the LA region through the USGBC’s Environmental Justice Project. It's inspiring to see how these initiatives are bridging the gap between social justice and environmental resilience. As a firm that’s passionate about sustainability, we’re proud to align our efforts with organizations like USGBC-CA, who continue to make an impact where it matters most. 🌎 Looking forward to more of these events, where we get to network and continue to spread awareness of our environmental compliance and sustainability services. Let’s keep making a difference together! #USGBC #Sustainability #EnvironmentalJustice #CitadelEHS #CommunityImpact #Networking #EnvironmentalConsulting #SustainabilityLeadership

Important Update for Large Quantity Generators in California! As of July 1, 2024, California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) has started enforcing new requirements under the Generator Improvements Rule (GIR). This significant update mandates that all large quantity generators submit a Quick Reference Guide along with their contingency plan to local emergency responders whenever the contingency plan is amended or when the generator first becomes subject to the large quantity generator requirements. Key Points: · Effective Date: July 1, 2024 · Who is Affected: Large Quantity Generators · New Requirement: Submission of a Quick Reference Guide with the contingency plan · Purpose: Enhance compliance and ensure swift, effective emergency response. DTSC has provided a template and instructions to help with compliance, which can be found on their official website. We encourage all affected parties to familiarize themselves with these changes and stay informed by subscribing to the GIR E-List at https://lnkd.in/gRt7DxiP . For more detailed information, visit the DTSC's Final Regulations webpage or the Frequently Asked Questions page on the GIR in California. The GIR also included additional mandatory provisions that DTSC was required to adopt. These include, but are not limited to, re-notification requirements for Small Quantity Generator (SQG) and LQGs, additional marking and labeling requirements, and new LQG closure requirements.
