At our recent ParksByYou Day event, we celebrated the transformation of Woodvale along the newly revitalized section of the Brays Bayou Greenway. The planting efforts were a huge success, and the results are stunning! This achievement was made possible by a generous grant from CITGO, whose team also joined us in adding the final touches to this beautiful space. A big thank you to all the volunteers who participated. We’re excited to keep expanding, enhancing, and preserving parks and greenspaces across the Houston region. Photos: Katy Anderson

At CITGO, safety is at the heart of everything we do. This Fire Prevention Week, we’re equipping our employees with fire extinguishers to ensure they are prepared both at work and at home. By making fire extinguishers easily accessible and reinforcing proper safety practices, we’re taking proactive steps to protect our people and communities. 🚨 Fire safety tip: Regularly check your fire extinguishers to ensure they are in good working condition, and make sure everyone knows how to use them! 🚨 Together, we can prevent fires before they start. 🔥 #FirePreventionWeek #CITGOSafety #CommunityFirst

CITGO project controls professionals recently joined delegates from 40+ companies at Independent Project Analysis' (IPA) 2024 Cost Engineering Committee (CEC) meeting. Members of CEC focus on improving project cost engineering, cost estimating, and scheduling practices from industry research, metrics, tools and best practices. Congratulations to the CITGO Lake Charles Refinery team for successfully completing their worst-case scenario drill. 130+ participants, including emergency responders and representatives from local, state, and federal agencies, participated in the live exercise that tested emergency operations' command capabilities. "In our industry, preparing for and practicing our response to these emergency scenarios is critical to the safety of our employees and surrounding communities," said CITGO Lake Charles Vice President and General Manager Sterling Neblett. "Our emergency responders and agency partners play an essential role in this preparation, and we thank them for their dedication to ensuring everyone's safety." This successful exercise wouldn't have been possible without the support of our partners at the United States Coast Guard, Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, Environmental Protection Agency, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, and Louisiana State Police. #EmergencyPerparedness #Louisiana #OperationalExcellence
