Some just asked describe why CEEP is different than #designthinking: The Citizen Entrepreneur Explorers Program (#CEEP) is a dynamic educational curriculum designed to deeply engage students with their local communities through a detailed experiential learning process. CEEP uses innovative thinking, community engagement, and research to transform students into proactive agents of change. This approach blends academic learning with practical application, encouraging students to explore and address local needs and opportunities. CEEP is structured in six progressive steps that increase students’ involvement and impact. It begins with the Discover Community phase, where students immerse themselves in their local environments to understand the unique needs and resources available. This exploration is crucial as it sets the foundation for all subsequent activities. In the Define a Question phase, students use their initial findings to formulate specific questions that address community issues. They then Decide Methodology, selecting appropriate research methods that best address these questions. The next step is Collect Information, where students gather data using their chosen methods. They then Analyze Data to draw meaningful insights that help in proposing findings. The final step, ReportBack, involves presenting findings and proposing a dialogue with the community, facilitating a public conversation that allows for feedback and further refinement of observations. This process not only enhances community well-being but also fosters a deeper connection between students and their communities. They see the fabric of community by interacting with people and seeing their interest in discoveries. Through CEEP, students evolve from passive learners to active contributors, equipped with the knowledge and skills to become successful, socially conscious leaders. This program effectively bridges the gap between academic learning and community involvement, preparing students to tackle complex real-world challenges.
