We are passionate about supporting local initiatives, especially those that benefit our future generations! Currently, we are sponsoring Invest in Girls, which is hosting a five-week class at Vault 405. Jill Auten from Oklahoma Council on Economic Education (OCEE) teaches local high school girls about vital financial topics, including the importance of money, goal setting, understanding taxes, expenses, budgeting, types of bank accounts, and credit scores. Essentially, it covers everything needed to get started after high school. This week, Chief Growth Officer Aggie Tuxhorn shared Jill Castilla's journey, highlighting the financial struggles she faced and how she overcame obstacles to achieve her current success! #InvestInGirlsOK #FutureLeaders

Congratulations to Jill Castilla, President and CEO of Citizens Bank of Edmond - not to mention a military veteran - for being named on off the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking by American Banker. #womeninbusiness #womenCEO
President and CEO, Citizens Bank of Edmond and ROGER.bank; Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army
I'm honored to be included in American Banker’s 2024 list of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking. While my name and picture are on the list, this isn't an individual recognition. The next smallest bank to Citizens Bank of Edmond is over $87 billion in assets, over 250 times our size - the largest is 11,000 times our size. We're a David in a sea of Goliaths. Not only is Citizens on the list this year, but we've been on the 25 Most Powerful or 25 Women to Watch for every year for the past decade. I'm honored to not only represent Citizens, ROGER Bank, and Oklahoma, but also our 4,000+ community bank family across the nation. From the Silicon Valley Bank failure and panic to the advocacy for FedNow for community bank continued access to the national payments system, we've been honored to tell the community banking story of strength, resiliency, innovation, and relevancy. #MPWIB

👏 👏
When I was chair-elect of the Oklahoma Council on Economic Education's board in 2019, we had the opportunity to begin the Oklahoma chapter of Invest in Girls (A Program of CEE). My accomplice, the incredible OCEE director Amy Lee and I said YES! Tomorrow, we are hosting Invest in Girls Day at UCO College of Business and have 140 high school girls enrolled (with a wait list 🙌 ). They will hear from some of the top female money minds and will be told that they can be the CEO and CFO of their lives. When we envisioned this program, we knew it was so needed. We dreamed of what it could be and it's so exciting to see those dreams coming true in full color with lots of pink. I'm so proud that Citizens Bank of Edmond is a sponsor. It's not too late to share, donate, and volunteer to help us usher in the next generation of financially literate girls. https://lnkd.in/gyhJBuPy

Yesterday, James P. Boggs was able to represent Citizens and the Regional Transportation Authority at the State of the Region event at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. James and fellow panelists discussed the importance of strategic planning and collaboration among local governments and businesses to ensure we are intentional and forward thinking with the immense growth our region is facing. Fellow panelists included Governor Brad Henry, Marion Hutchinson, and Michael J. Falencki. Thank you to Christy Gillenwater, President & CEO of Greater Oklahoma City Chamber for moderating the important discussion. And thank you to Edmond Mayor, Darrell Davis for joining us for the event.
