🙌 🙌 Incredibly grateful to our investor community who continues to push Citizens Of onwards & upwards! Back in 2021, we made a decision to fund our growth by raising a community round, we offered the chance to buy shares in Citizens and the response was incredible, raising $1.2M and oversubscribing the raise in one of the fastest crowd-raises to date. We welcomed 1400 new investors to the Citizens journey, a few that you might even recognize; MLS Captain Sean Davies & Randi Zuckerberg. An unexpected perk from raising a crowd-round is the passionate community of investors and brand champions. Over the past few week's, we held investor meet ups all over the country and I am incredibly grateful for the support, passion and relationships that continue to pour out of this community! At Citizens Of, we're always focused on finding effective ways to prop up our company culture in our everyday actions. A vibrant part of the culture is supporting community beyond our front doors by contributing to the communities we live in! We've launched a new initiative, Local Legends, where each Citizens Of restaurant partners with 3 community groups/charities per month and pledges a donation in support, and we let our locals help us choose how that donation is split up. Once guests finish dining with us, they receive a blue bottle cap and place it in the jar of the cause that they would like to support. This not only helps Citizens realize it’s impact and cause for greater good, but we are able to generate new awareness and connections into networks in the community partners. The Local Legends program at Citizens Of has been a HIT with the Citizens Of locals and legends and is only the beginning of how we can impact our communities for the greater good!

This year we held our first Citizens Of leadership conference 'Legends of Learning' in Houston Tx. Such an empowering and bonding experience with the amazing team that drives Citizens on every day! As a leadership team we focused on our expansion roadmapping, culture building and concept development. One of the biggest takeaways was the collaboration in building Citizens culture, a truly empowering workshop where we collectively defined the values that exist today and what we are building towards tomorrow at Citizens Of. Our approach is to work hard on building strong foundations of culture at this early stage, which assist us in decision making at every level to ensure we don’t lose sight of the special sauce as we scale. We’re currently working on developing this culture into every corner and eventually publishing this to the Citizens community.
