    You could say Mayor Frank Ritchie and Mayor Pro-tem Ty Wolosin are just ‘wired’ a little differently. They join us and discuss the newly adopted Fiscal Year 2025 budget, which begins on Tuesday, October 1! This year’s budget delivers key priorities such as: 💲Tax relief 🏗 Strategic infrastructure investment 👩💻 Employee investment 👮♂️ Security and Safety With a half-cent tax rate reduction, the City continues to strategically invest in key areas allowing Boerne to thrive.     The City of Boerne was recently notified by Fitch Ratings of an upgrade to our credit rating from AA to AA+, reflecting the City’s strong fiscal health and management practices. With a key tenet of fiscal excellence, the City is committed to strategic, responsible, and conservative financial management.     How do you flip the script on traditional town hall meetings? You listen more and let the audience help drive the conversation. That is exactly what the City of Boerne did at our recent neighborhood discussion meeting, where local representatives engaged in meaningful dialogue about ongoing projects, code enforcement, and water restrictions. The event fostered a collaborative atmosphere, allowing us to listen directly to our residents and address their concerns.     At our most recent City Council meeting, the City Manager’s Office and Finance director led a workshop with a detailed overview of the proposed 2025 City of Boerne budget. Our Finance Department has been working hard on the budget for the upcoming year and helped present a budget that is strategic, aligned to our mission, and fiscally conservative. Just like on the field, big things happen at Boerne City Hall to help our residents, customers and visitors enjoy our exemplary Hill Country community. Today, and every day, our local government employees and elected officials have showcased their pride in our organization and the hardworking men and women who make it happen.

    Moving Boerne forward! The City of Boerne has been awarded a $600,000 federal grant to develop a comprehensive plan aimed at addressing the safety, transportation, and mobility challenges associated with 18 bridges across the city. Our community was just one of two Texas cities selected for the Federal Highway Administration’s Bridge Investment Program. Additionally, this is the third significant grant the City has received for various projects and departments in recent months. READ: https://lnkd.in/gZQzvGzG

    The summer budget workshop series continued at our most recent City Council meeting with an update on the Boerne Utilities Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and a breakdown of key infrastructure projects as the City prepares the fiscal year 2025 budget. The CIP is a long-term planning tool that outlines the City’s strategy for funding and completing major infrastructure projects, which often takes years of future planning and occurs over multiple annual budgets. Boerne Utilities Director Mike Mann gave a detailed presentation to the council on several projects included in the Capital Improvement Plan. These projects cover each of Boerne Utilities’ services, including electric, water, reclaimed water, sewer, and natural gas. READ MORE: https://lnkd.in/gY6Eh6y3
