Burien is a city in King County, Washington, United States, located south of Seattle. Residents and business people alike love the convenience of Burien’s hub location and great connections. It's Public Works Week, and we're celebrating the City's public works professionals who work hard for us year-round. 👷🙌 Team Public Works was recognized by the Burien City Council on Monday with a proclamation honoring their outstanding efforts in "advancing quality of life for all." The proclamation also celebrated former director Maiya Andrews for her three decades of public service, including the last 12 years dedicated to serving our City. Interim director Glenn Akramoff accepted the proclamation on behalf of the team, reminding us all that our crews are "quietly out there risking their lives and health, at times, doing this work. As you see our Public Works crew out there in the streets, wherever they're working, we know we disrupt your world sometimes, but give them a wave and a thank you." #PublicWorksWeek #PublicWorks #Burien
