I had a wonderful time at American Water Works Association's WaterSmart Innovations Conference last week. It was so great to see so many colleagues and learn about what everyone has been up to. I was also very honored to accept an US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) WaterSense Sustained Excellence Award on behalf of the City of Charlottesville! Congratulations to all the great WaterSense partners that also were honored.

Have you looked at your auto losses lately? Automobile claims are the second leading loss VRSA - and backing, particularly backing emergency vehicles, remains a frequent loss. The City of Charlottesville Fire Department worked with us to develop a backing training video. This video is now available on our website - a sample of the video is posted below. Services to prevent and reduce losses are one of the founding purposes of risk pools. Our Public Safety Specialist Gary Dillon is available to work with fire, emergency medical services, and police departments along with our risk consultants.
