State 46 Films has been filming scenes throughout Edmond this week for an Amazon Prime movie called "Masterpiece." Pictured is a behind-the-scenes shot taken during filming in the Public Safety Center in Downtown Edmond. The City of Edmond, the Edmond Police Department, Visit Edmond, and the Edmond Economic Development Authority have partnered with the film company to support the production of this film. In 2021, the City of Edmond completed the requirements to become one of more than 30 municipalities in Oklahoma to earn a Film Friendly certification from the Oklahoma Film + Music Office. To earn this certification, the City committed to being prepared to support requests from film and television production teams. By engaging in the film and television industry, Edmond has the opportunity to reap the economic benefits of production through hiring local talent and workforce, spending money at local businesses and attractions, booking hotel nights and other accommodations, and much more! https://lnkd.in/gtNBisFh
