On Wednesday, the City of Germantown staff had the pleasure of gathering for our annual employee picnic. It was a fantastic day filled with great food from Soul Fish, fun games and a chance to make s’mores by the fire. However, the best part of the day was the fellowship among colleagues. Spending time together outside of the office and strengthening our sense of community made this event truly special. Grateful to be part of such an incredible team dedicated to serving our City!

This month, three City of Germantown first responders were recognized by the Tennessee Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. Lt. Clint Parker of the Germantown Police Department was awarded the Law Enforcement Medal for his leadership and dedication during several critical incidents at Houston High School. Dewey Parnell of the Germantown Fire Department was honored with the Fire Safety Commendation for his dedication to community risk reduction and his involvement in the LAFS (Learning about Fire Safety) program. Lt. Westley Jones, a leader in emergency medical services, received the EMS Award for his expertise in EMS instruction and his contributions to the department's quality improvement program.
