🚰💧 The City of Manteca has successfully distributed $698,146 to assist with overdue utility bills through the California Water and Wastewater Arrearages Payment Program. Thanks to $985 million in federal funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), this program, established by the State Water Board, helps cover pandemic-related unpaid utility bills. Here's how the funds were distributed: • Residential Water Arrearage: $298,462 • Residential Wastewater Arrearage: $359,615 • Commercial Water Arrearage: $7,788 • Commercial Wastewater Arrearage: $11,945 💵 Approximately 1,500 customer accounts received much-needed relief, with an average of $188.33 applied to water services and $233.40 to wastewater services. By gathering data on past-due accounts, the Finance Department ensured that the City's residents and businesses could benefit from this financial assistance. Recipients were notified in April 2024 about this funding support. We’re proud that our Finance Department worked diligently to ensure residents and businesses received this essential support. If you have questions about the City’s utility services or billing, visit us at www.manteca.gov.
