Oceanside also offers a low unemployment rate and one of the region’s more affordable coastal living. Oceanside has a highly-rated livability factor with an advantageous coastal locale, a thriving downtown scene, plenty of open space, miles of beautiful coastline, unique architecture, historic buildings, and an efficient transportation hub. Oceanside offers professionals some of the most affordable housing in coastal southern California. The City is conveniently located between four major airports. Oceanside’s economy is robust and the unemployment rate is currently low. Future Oceanside job growth is projected to be 36.4% over the next ten years. The “beachy” culture, lively neighborhoods, historic architecture, wonderful people, art and live theatre, and the many new dining options make Oceanside an attractive place to live, work, play and stay!

Work on the beloved Oceanside Pier is underway ... Demolition crews have begun dismantling the fire-damaged west end, implementing a specialized subfloor containment system to safely manage debris. This initial phase is expected to be completed by year's end. Looking ahead, Oceanside's City Engineers are actively pursuing permits from various regulatory agencies to rebuild the deck area. Simultaneously, the restaurant lease holder will be developing plans for a new dining establishment, which will generally occupy the same footprint as the former Ruby's. The great news? About 90% of the pier remains open and ready to welcome you. Come enjoy a peaceful, good-for-the-soul stroll, or cast a line in the Pacific.
