This summer we were proud to partner with CareerSource Brevard Flagler Volusia for a student internship program! 🤩 The Summer Earn and Learn Young Adult program was a 6-week paid employment program that helps high school juniors and seniors gain real-world job skills. Interns worked with City leadership and staff in various departments based on their future interests to develop their communication, research, and analysis skills. Partnerships and programs like this demonstrate our commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders! #PalmBayProud #FLCityWeek 🩵☀️

The City of Palm Bay and Palm Bay Fire Rescue are thrilled to welcome 25 new firefighters as part of our latest hiring class. This group represents the largest in the history of our department! As our city continues to grow, so do the demands placed on public safety. This expansion requires our fire rescue department to enhance its capacity to provide top-notch fire protection and emergency medical services to our community. Over the next eight weeks, these new hires will undergo rigorous training on the fire ground, covering essential skills such as forcible entry, ladder operations, hose deployment, communication, and live burns. We will also work on bolstering their medical skills, which will include airway, breathing, and trauma management. Join us in welcoming these new firefighters to #TeamPalmBay! #PalmBayProud
