    Now's the time to get some FUNding, y'all! 🤑 If you are an HOA board member in your community, applications for capital improvement funding will close in TWO MONTHS on November 30, 2024! Grant funding of up to $75,000 is available for your neighborhood's new capital projects. Apply today for the Sugar Land 4B Corporation's Fostering Unique Neighborhoods (FUN) Grant Program! Formally known as the SL4B JCIP Program, the FUN Grant Program exists to empower community groups, such as homeowners associations (HOAs), property owners associations (POAs), and neighborhood community groups (RCGs), to revitalize and enhance the distinct character of each neighborhood or area of commerce. This partnership will promote economic development and workforce retention & attraction through the transformative power of placemaking, mobility, and community. Qualifying capital projects* must demonstrate a public benefit and be publicly accessible/enjoyable. Eligible projects must fall into at least one of the categories below: Low Gov’t. Code Chapters 501 and/or 505 and have a minimum total cost of at least $10,000: ·     Open Space Improvements ·     Parks and Recreation Improvements ·     Street and Traffic Improvements ·     Site Improvements ·     Public Art Improvements * Maintenance-related items and standalone landscaping projects will not be considered a qualifying project. The Sugar Land 4B Corporation, an economic development corporation funded by a ¼ cent voter approved sales tax, provides an opportunity for community-based organizations to enhance the community through public improvement projects.     Our Accounting department is expanding! We're hiring for two positions: Controller and Accounting Manager. An ideal candidate for Controller will assist in the development, planning and implementation of management and strategic projects by conducting research, performing statistical analysis and preparing reports for the Director of Finance, among other duties. As a Accounting Manager, you will oversee accounting activities including general ledger reconciliations, financial reporting and auditing while reviewing and analyzing various records and reports. You will also interpret, implement and monitor industry standards, local, state and federal requirements including City Fiscal Management policies to ensure compliance, among other duties.     Calling all Sugar Land business owners📢 Let’s get a fresh coat of paint on your commercial building through the Commercial Revitalization Grant program! The Sugar Land 4B Corporation approved a $500,000 grant to support the Sugar Land Economic Development redevelopment of commercial centers within the city. This grant is meant to provide funding to property owners of multi-tenant centers that are at least 20 years old and have a minimum of 25,000 square feet of leasable space.
