Congrats to the City's Stormwater Management Team, which earned two prestigious awards from the Big Bend Chapter of APWA! 🏆 The Myrick and Skyland Ditch Enclosure project was recognized with Best Performance in the $2-5 Million range. 🏆 The McCord Ditch Improvements project won Best Stormwater Project in the $5-25 Million range. These projects help improve the quality of discharges from the City’s MS4 to downstream waters, while also protecting property and reducing flood potential — contributing to a safer, more sustainable Tallahassee. "These incredible projects are a true team effort," said Jodie Cahoon, P.E., Manager of Stormwater Management for the City. "I want to take a moment to recognize the outstanding contributions of the team - Jamie Freeman, P.E., Stormwater CIP Manager; Scott Lord, P.E., Project Manager for the Myrick and Skyland Ditch Enclosure Project; Amelia Bryant, P.E., Project Manager for the McCord Ditch Improvements Project; and Courtney Schoen, who played a key role in securing a FDEP grant to help fund the Myrick and Skyland Ditch Enclosure Project. These awards are a testament to their dedication, expertise and hard work." Kudos to all on these well-earned honors! #TalentLivesHere #stormwatermanagement #publicinfrastructure
