The mission of the hospitality management department of New York City College of Technology is to provide students with a hospitality career education that integrates applied management practices and theory with liberal arts and sciences.

To fulfill its mission the department will:
-Offer a comprehensive applied management curriculum
-Provide students with the necessary professional and communications skills for successful careers
-Foster an understanding of social responsibility through involvement in community service
Two degree programs:
1. The AAS degree program provides students with a solid foundation in theory and current practices of the hospitality industry and a core of liberal arts and science courses that will prepare them for flexible career development.
2. The BTech degree in Hospitality Management is an internationally accredited program of the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA).
Program Learning Outcomes, to graduate students who:
-identify and demonstrate skills relevant to the operational areas of hospitality management.
-utilize the dynamics of collaboration in diverse settings.
-demonstrate effective communication skills.
-exhibit the analytical and social skills essential for success in the global workplace.
-value and integrate lifelong learning, civic engagement, ethical reasoning, and social responsibility.
Hospitality and tourism represent the largest international industry of the 21st century and the vibrant core of the economy of New York City. For over sixty years our graduates have lead successful careers throughout New York City and beyond. They can be found in all areas of the hospitality industry including: Hotels and Resorts, Restaurant Operations, Tourism and Travel Management, Culinary and Pastry Arts, and Sales and Marketing.
