I am so excited to share the stage on Tuesday with ERTICO - ITS Europe, I-SENSEGroup/ICCS, and PAVE Europe at ITS World Congress in Dubai. I'll be presenting on the unmet potential of micromobility to create safer and more sustainable outcomes in cities of all sizes and cultural identities. Stop by and say hi!
PAVE Europe is thrilled to join I-SENSEGroup/ICCS' panel discussion at the ITS World Congress 2024 in Dubai! 🚀 Join us for the session titled: "Sustainable and safe urban mobility for all: Reality or illusion?" on Tuesday, 17th September at 11:00 GST. 🌍 New urban mobility solutions and space interventions will contribute to the transition to become climate-neutral by 2050. Angelos Amditis, Christina Anagnostopoulou, Guido Di Pasquale, Evan Corey Costagliola, and Evangelia Portouli will discuss solutions to safe, sustainable and inclusive urban mobility in cities. 🎉 It's Conference Season, y'all! 🎉 The unofficial start of Fall began last week after Labor Day and with that calendar milestone come conferences, conferences, conferences! We couldn't be more excited since there are a quite a few that we will be participating in this September, October, and November. First up, Senior Principal Evan Corey Costagliola will be speaking at ITS Congresses #ITSDubai2024 next week during the session titled "Sustainable and Safe Urban Mobility for All. Reality or Illusion?" 📆 17 September 2024 🕚 11:00-12:30 GST (GMT+4) 🔗 To learn more and sign up, go to https://lnkd.in/fMMNz9J 📋 Details of the panel are below: "According to the European Commission, globally, urban areas consume over 65% of the world's energy, accounting for more than 70% of CO2 emissions. It is therefore crucial that cities act as experimentation and innovation ecosystems to help all others in their transition to become climate-neutral by 2050. New urban mobility solutions and space interventions will contribute to this transition and help the citizens not only live but thrive within their cities. Therefore, the acceptance of novel mobility solutions and space interventions by the citizens themselves is an element of strong interest for all stakeholders involved in the related sectors. During this session, the present situation of urban mobility will be discussed and several suggestions will be presented on how to introduce safe, sustainable, and inclusive urban mobility in our lives." Evan will be joined by mobility experts from across Europe as they dig into this topic further. ⭐ Guido Di Pasquale, managing director at Partners for Automated Vehicle Education (PAVE) ⭐ Evangelia Portouli, senior researcher at I-SENSEGroup/ICCS. 🎤 The session will be moderated by I-SENSEGroup/ICCS technical director Giannis Karaseitanidis. #ELABORATORproject #sustainability #transportation #urbanmobility

To understand the scale of this Collaboration, check out the extent of this transportation network on third image shared in Fits Traffic's original post! #Mobility #SustainableTransport #Rail #TransportationNetwork Fits Traffic Latvian IT Cluster / DIH ITS Estonia Transporto Inovacijų Asociacija Arnis Kakulis Evan Corey Costagliola
🚀 Celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Baltic Way, we are reminded of the power of unity and collaboration across the Baltic states. This spirit of cooperation is alive today as we proudly announce the launch of the Baltic Mobility Collaborative—an initiative driven by Cityfi and Fits Traffic, an active member of Latvian IT Cluster / DIH. 🌍 Our goal is to bring together public, private, and research sector organizations from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia to work on joint projects that enhance mobility across the Baltics. By improving connectivity between existing transport modes and seamlessly integrating with the upcoming RB Rail AS | Rail Baltica, we aim to create a safer, more efficient, and better-connected transportation network for all. 🤝 We invite stakeholders from all sectors to join us in shaping the future of mobility in the Baltic region. Together, let's build a stronger, smarter, and more connected Baltic! ❓Want to learn more about CCAM? Not sure what CCAM is? Have ideas on how CCAM can be integrated into cities in a way that benefits society? Great! Join Cityfi Senior Principal (and mobility guru) Evan Corey Costagliola at the 2024 Urbanism Next Europe Conference in Amsterdam October 9 - 11. He will be taking part in the session titled "CCAM For Society: How Can Cities Unlock The Potential Of Connected, Cooperative & Automated Mobility (CCAM)?" This session will bring US and EU experts together to share experiences and lessons learned from various international Connected & Automated Vehicle operations. After setting the scene with international findings and multistakeholder perspectives, discussions will focus on what role CCAM can have in urban areas taking into account societal perspectives such as safety, environmental impact, livability, and inclusion. Moreover, how can authorities and road operators safeguard societal standards while facilitating CCAM to unlock its potential?
