Throughout November the City of Bismarck is accepting applications for its Citizen Academy. This weekly, three-hour course will visit each department in the City and learn about the people and services brought to residents every day. Public Works Landfill staff have begun using Cell #2 for household waste. This new, multi-million dollar cell is expected to last between five and seven years until a new one will need to be dug. For more information about the city landfill visit https://lnkd.in/gzngNRfj. 

⏰ Time is running out to apply for the Neighborhood Reinvestment Initiative. This program, in partnership with Gate City Bank and Capital Credit Union, offers reduced-interest loans to homeowners for eligible home improvement projects. Eligible homeowners can apply for loans from $10,000 to $100,000, starting at a 4.99% interest rate with either 10- or 15-year terms. Applications are due by October 31, 2024. Knife River Corporation has provided an update that mainline concrete paving is 92% complete on the Washington/Santa Fe intersection, with remaining items planned to be completed next week.
