Every registered voter in Palo Alto will receive a vote-by-mail ballot from the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters in the mail. Ballots were sent on or about October 7 and you should receive your ballot a few days later. All vote-by-mail ballots come with a pre-paid postage return envelope. You can return your completed ballot by mail at any time, as long as it is postmarked on or before 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 5, 2024, and received by the ROV within the following seven (7) days. Secure Ballot Drop Boxes will be located throughout Palo Alto and are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week starting October 7 until polls close at 8:00 p.m. Election Day.
