We are an inclusive "one-stop" community center for individuals and families seeking food relief and other resources.

About us

In 1973, three women pooled their bingo winnings and founded Clackamas Service Center (CSC) to do something about poverty and hunger in their community. Today, we are an inclusive, trauma-informed "one-stop-shop" where community members experiencing hunger and poverty can meet their basic food, health, and hygiene needs, and connect with supportive services to help them take their next steps toward stability and self-sufficiency. Best known for inclusive, innovative hunger relief work, CSC integrates food relief, health, and social services at a single site, maximizing the impact of every member interaction by using a hub-and-spoke model. Nutrition support is the hub that brings community members to the campus and builds long-term trust. Once onsite, members are offered the opportunity to connect with other service providers (“spokes”) offering medical, mental and behavioral health, dental, and other services in a safe, neutral, and trusted environment. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit agency supported by generous foundations, individuals, corporations, and government.
