  • Congratulations to our newest BEE Award winner, Mary! The BEE Award, stands for “Being Exceptional Every Day” and is a complimentary award to the DAISY Award. Just like a DAISY would not be able to grow without the help of the BEE, our nurses could not do what they do for our patients without the outstanding teamwork of other health care professionals. Here's what Mary's colleagues had to say: "I would like to recognize Mary Weathers as someone who is an integral part of our team. She exemplifies that person whom our patients, their family members and our staff see as an outstanding role model.. In her own quiet way, she is able to bring calm to the unit while dealing with a multitude of requests and being able to prioritize what needs to be done first. She continues to remain positive, professional with a good work ethic and is such a pleasure to work with." Would you like to celebrate on of our support personnel? • Today, RWJBarnabas Health experienced an unexpected global Microsoft outage that, if not managed aggressively and effectively, could have caused significant disruption to the health system. While we continue to work through technical issues, normal operations have resumed across the system. The ingenuity and teamwork demonstrated by RWJBarnabas Health’s workforce was exemplary. Led by the system’s Information Technology Department and Office of Emergency Management, their tireless efforts to resolve issues quickly and efficiently were critical in maintaining patient safety during a time of uncertainty. We thank our patients and community members for their patience and support, and commend our employees for their unwavering dedication and commitment. #LetsBeHealthyTogether

  • Some systems at RWJBarnabas Health have been impacted by the Global Microsoft outage. This is not a cyberattack. Our teams are working to remediate the issue as soon as possible. As always, patient safety is our highest priority. Out of an abundance of caution, we are delaying some scheduled procedures until this situation is resolved and will share updates as they are available. Thank you for your patience. #LetsBeHealthyTogether

  • This week CMMC launched our new overhead song to celebrate the end of treatment for our oncology patients! Heartfelt thanks to our very special patient Laura, who had the idea for the celebratory song when she finished her treatment at our Cancer Center. Here is Laura hearing the song for the first time and celebrating the launch with fellow members of our monthly Cancer Support group, along with Dr. Dolly Razdan, radiation oncologist, and our Cancer Center team members Wendy Pritchett, Meghan Merkel, Jerry Maniscalchi, Michelle Ashley and Caprina Tomlinson.

  • We love it when our Clara family shares their gifts with our patients! One of our new student volunteers, Noah, treated our patients to some beautiful cello music today during his shift. We hope he continues to nurture his love of music as he pursues his education and career in healthcare. Bravo, Noah!
