More specifically, a living environment tailored to the individual needs of our residents. We consider residents living in it should feel that it is “just like home”. So to ensure that we deliver the quality of life desired and expected by the residents we care for, we put in place the conditions that help them to remain autonomous for as long as possible, live life at their own pace, build relationships with other residents, welcome their families, and occupy their time as they wish. The facility will have cutting-edge technology that is unique in Spain, such as virtual reality (NeuronUP, Oculus Quest), robotics and neurostimulation. These technologies will offer specific tools and methods that complement manual therapies, allowing for a more personalised, efficient and person-centred rehabilitation. Their integration into the neurorehabilitation model expands treatment options and promotes functional recovery, increasing motivation and autonomy in daily life. The SBTi was formed as a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, the We Mean Business Coalition, the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). It aims to promote the adoption by companies of carbon strategies aligned with the Paris Agreement. By 2031, we have to: ➡️ reduce absolute scopes 1 & 2 GHG emissions by 46% (direct and indirect emissions) ➡️ reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, waste generated in operations, business travel and employee commuting by 28% Our commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative is an important step in making the Group’s environmental transition a long-term one. Have you heard about “Bee Korian”? 🐝   ➡️ This inspiring programme launched by Korian Italia in partnership with Apicoltura Urbana Srl Società Benefit aims to promote biodiversity by uniting residents and young generations through beekeeping.   Four Korian care homes have been hosting beehives since 2021. Each facility involved in the project has installed two hives, capable of accommodating around 120,000 bees. Educational workshops and organic, locally sourced honey production engage participants, while a contest for designing honey labels enhances intergenerational interaction. 🍯   Bees are essential for the environment due to their role as pollinators. Their activities help maintain balanced ecosystems, supporting other wildlife and contributing to the overall health of our environment. At Clariane, we believe that protecting and restoring biodiversity at our facilities is key to combating climate change, as well as to ensuring the well-being of our residents and patients.
