On October 15th, we had the honour of hosting a pre-event for UNLEASH, the globally renowned conference shaping the 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. At our Paris headquarters, we welcomed HR leaders for an engaging session titled “Solving the talent crisis with values, culture, and consideration”.   The session, led by Remi Boyer, Deputy CEO and Executive Vice President Germany at Clariane, highlighted how the Group’s HR strategies foster employee attractivity and retention in the care sector, based on Clariane’s EVP and our engagements as a purpose-driven company. Rémi also showed how consideration towards employees is integrated into Clariane’s HR policies and actions.   One of the event’s highlights was an interactive session of our 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲, animated by Léa Cuchot. The activity brought to life our core values of trust, responsibility, and initiative — values that help and guide our team members in managing situations and making decisions, particularly during complex moments, in line with our culture of care towards patients, residents and their families. 🌟 Celebrating memories with #YoRecuerdo (I remember)   In honor of World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21st, Clariane Spain launched the #YoRecuerdo campaign to pay tribute to individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease, highlighting its profund impact. Memories are the essence of who we are. Each image, emotion, and experience we hold contributes to our identity. The #YoRecuerdo campaign emphasizes the importance of remembering and ensuring that each story and life always remain. Alzheimer’s disease is characterised by temporal disorientation and a reversal of biological rhythms during the day and night, which can lead to increased anxiety and nocturnal wandering. These disorders result from degeneration of the hypothalamus, which regulates the biological clock. To remedy these symptoms, Clariane France has developed the therapeutic screen, an immersive screen displaying a realistic virtual environment to resynchronize patients’ internal clocks. 🌒☀️ By simulating day-night cycles, it aims to help residents who suffer from severe or moderate cognitive impairment to situate themselves spatially and temporally in their environment. The multimedia screen has enabled residents to have access to soothing content throughout the day, helping to reduce night-time anxiety and improve sleep quality. Clear therapeutic goals: ➡️ orientation through space and time: to anchor residents in reality ➡️ circadian rhythm: to encourage a harmonious sleep-wake cycle ➡️ calming yet stimulating activities: using films designed to calm and encourage discussion ➡️ creating awareness: awakening memories through natural scenes This innovation is highly effective in supporting Alzheimer’s patients. 🧠 Nearly 10 million people in Europe suffer from Alzheimer’s or related diseases, and this number is expected to double by 2050. Clariane, which has set itself the mission of taking care of each person’s humanity in times of vulnerability, has made it a top priority to support people with Alzheimer’s disease, their relatives as well as their medical and care teams. 🔁 Last year, we produced the “Alzheimer’s disease, let’s talk about it!” programme, to help families better understand Alzheimer’s disease and support their loved ones, both at home and in care homes. 🫶 With Positive Care, we have designed and defined an integral approach: 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧, 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐜 to care rooted in evidence-based medicine. It applies without distinction to residents and patients, their families, and employees, and is based on two inseparable dimensions: 🔹 𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁: considering and respecting the uniqueness of each person – who they are, what they aspire to, what they can do, etc; 🔹 𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: helping and supporting each person individually to fulfil their aspirations, expectations and desires, and to realise their potential. We always consider non-pharmacological interventions (NPIs) as a first-line treatment. What do they consist in❓ NPIs are key tools to support people living with Alzheimer’s disease or related disorders.
