Congratulations to Kayla Lee, DNP, MBA, MSN, RN, Director of Education & Training and Tim Michael, MBA, BS, BSN, RN, Director of Nursing on both completing the ACBSP accredited MBA program through Western Governors University! This accelerated Master’s in Business Administration program made it possible for them to complete their education in less than a year. As registered nurses in leadership positions, they both value the importance of understanding business and operations as they apply to healthcare.  

Happy #NationalInternDay! Taylin, intern for the marketing and business development department is from Muncy, Pa and attends Clarion University; majoring in Marketing with a minor in Digital Marketing. She Worked previously as an Intern for the Walt Disney Company, then as an Intern at Aramark. Taylin comments "My favorite part about working for Clarion Psychiatric Center is how amazing of a facility we have in Clarion. I've met the most incredible people while working here, who have been so educative and helpful!." Taylin usually spends her days outside with her dog, Millie, a 5-year-old Yorkichon. Thank-you for sharing your talents with us this summer!

Say hello to Isaac; a 5 year old Golden Retriever and Rain; a 2 year old Red Fox Labrador retriever, therapy dogs at Clarion Psychiatric Center. These good boys make weekly visits to our inpatient treatment programs where smiles and laughter are always sure to follow! 🐕 💕

Meet Keith, he has worked in our maintenance department for almost a year. Keith has over 35 years of experience in contracting and remodeling, he decided to apply at CPC last year because he heard it was a nice place to work and the staff were friendly. Keith likes working in maintenance due to the diversity of projects and the people he works with, "everyone is very friendly and supportive," comments Keith. We thank Keith for keeping our facility safe and in good working order for our patients and staff! #employeerecognition

Clarion Psychiatric Center would like to congratulate Brandy Conner, MHT; Shaun Parrish, Maintenance Tech; and Ashley Snyder, MHT as they each passed the Venango Technology Center LPN Training Program. They embarked on this journey in December of 2022 when they applied for CPC’s internal LPN Training and Tuition forgiveness program. Less than 2 years later they have completed it and in the next coming months, will be preparing to take their LPN Licensure exam and will move into an LPN position at the Center. Kayla Lee, Director of Education and Training said “The entire CPC team is so very proud of what these three individuals have accomplished and wish them the best of luck in the coming months.”

Clarion Psychiatric Center and the American Red Cross are hosting a blood drive on July 8, 2024 from 9am to 2:30pm. Please join our lifesaving mission and schedule an appointment today! The need for blood is constant, and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Local area student Bella Black, senior at Keystone High School was presented with a $1000.00 Stop the Stigma scholarship by Kayla Lee, DNP, MBA, MSN, RN, Director of Education & Training at Clarion Psychiatric Center. Bella submitted an essay on the need for mental health care in our community and stopping the stigma associated with mental illness. We are so proud to offer this scholarship to Bella, she will be attending Slippery Rock University in the Fall and will study secondary English education. She looks forward to making an impact on student's lives and being a role model to help in the prevention of suicide. #StopTheStigma

As #mentalhealthawarenessmonth came to a close, we celebrated our staff one more time with gourmet cupcakes from a local vendor Cutie Pie Cup Cakes. Staff look forward to their delicious cupcakes each year. We have a tremendous group of professionals who deliver our services, and we are grateful for their commitment and dedication to our patients.
