    So how did a brain injury therapist end up in marketing? 🧐 I chose my major because I wanted to help holistically, not just fix one thing but make sure patients were better for their whole lives. Recreation Therapy seemed right. I worked with kids, teens, elderly with recovery after stroke, illness, burns, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and more.🙌 Because we lived in rural areas, and rec therapy is not reimbursable by insurance…I ended up working roles inside and outside of healthcare. 🤷♀️ After working in long term care, hospitals, nonprofits, higher education and in leadership, I got my first official job in marketing. The holistic foundation of looking at data, systems, process, impact served me very well and everywhere I worked, we grew. I have worked in hospitals, systems, corporations, small nonprofit healthcare organizations, wellness organizations and for health insurers. The collection of experience, from marketing specialist to VP of Marketing/CX for a Fortune 50 company, provides a full view of the entire patient journey and the ultimate perspective of how marketing, PX, messaging, culture and brand work together to support patient and employee health. Fast forward and here I am, on the precipice of four years as the CEO of a consulting agency and I believe our work is stronger and more impactful than ever!🔥 We are focused on serving rural, community and small health and wellness organizations.
