A big thank you to Blessings of Hope for joining us at our corporate campus this week for a lunch & learn! CEO David Lapp spoke to employees about Blessings of Hope's mission and process, the impact volunteers have on their organization, and the growth they've experienced since their inception in 2006. Theresa Weinhofer, Procurement Vendor Analyst, also spoke about her involvement with Blessings of Hope and her successful initiative of donating Procurement's product samples. Blessings of Hope is a local organization that addresses hunger and food insecurity in Lancaster County and beyond. They partner with large corporations and food suppliers to receive food donations that would otherwise go to waste and distribute them to the community. Earlier this summer, WebstaurantStore's Nashville distribution center marked its official launch under the guidance of General Manager Paul Overmann and Director of Operations Gary Sowders. The state-of-the art facility shipped its first order to Game Terminal, a popular arcade and lounge in Nashville. The order signifies the beginning of what promises to be a cutting-edge automated operation. The Nashville warehouse incorporates AutoStore technology, which is expected to handle nearly 50% of its total shipping volume once fully operational. Congratulations to our Nashville team!
