A statement from CleanSpark CEO Zachary Bradford about Hurricane Helene: In the wake of Hurricane Helene's destructive path across the Southeastern United States, we extend our deepest condolences to the communities, families, and individuals who have suffered loss, damage, and disruption due to this catastrophic event. We recognize the immense challenges faced by those in regions where the storm has left countless without power, water, and other basic necessities. The loss of life, including first responders who bravely served during this crisis, underscores the severity of Helene's impact. Our thoughts are with every person whose life has been altered by this hurricane. The communities in rural Georgia, where our employees and their families reside and where we operate, have experienced this firsthand. The resilience shown by the affected communities and our employees, as they come together to support one another is a testament to the human spirit's indomitable nature. Our teams have been working hand in hand with the local utilities to mutually support the efforts to bring power back online to regions affected. Their grit and commitment have been outstanding. I want to extend our deepest gratitude to our incredible teams who have demonstrated remarkable resilience and dedication in the face of this challenge. Your unwavering commitment to excellence, even under trying circumstances, has not gone unnoticed. The spirit of collaboration, grit, and perseverance you've shown is truly commendable. Thank you for your hard work, your adaptability, and for pushing through adversity with such determination. We continue to move forward and achieve our goals because of your efforts. Most importantly, all our team members are safe. Additionally, our geographically diverse portfolio of sites allowed us to maintain approximately 10.5 EH/s at our sites in Northwest Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee throughout the storm. To ensure health and safety, and to avoid any undue pressure on the electrical grid, we shut 365 MW of our Southeast Georgia sites down as the hurricane began impacting the region. Since then, we have been in regular communication with the local utilities to safely bring up the sites in a manner that ensured the local community was supported throughout the process. Within 24 hours, we were able to bring hashrate back to over 17.5 EH/s. We have now brought approximately 200 MW back online and expect to bring the remaining 165 MW online in the coming week after the utilities and communities around us receive power. The majority of the 165 MW remaining offline is projected to be restored to communities no later than October 4, 2024. Our teams are prepared to promptly restore normal operations as soon as power becomes available. [continued in comments]

“Including today’s announcement, our operational capacity has soared over the last seven days totaling 211.5 MW of new capacity. That’s an increase of nearly 38 percent, which will not only support our target of 37 EH/s by the end of 2024, but also our target of 50 EH/s in 2025,” said Zachary Bradford, CEO. “CleanSpark’s rapid growth underscores our ongoing commitment to deliver long-term shareholder value.” Today CleanSpark announced we’ve acquired two Bitcoin mining sites and associated land near Clinton, Mississippi, and closed on our second site in Wyoming. The Mississippi acquisitions have a combined purchase price of $5.775 million and will support a total of 16.5 MW. The sites are currently partially complete and the purchase price includes the cost to complete construction of the site infrastructure. The site will be delivered to CleanSpark turnkey ready with an expected completion date of December 1, 2024. Upon completion and installation, the site will house S21 pro miners with an expected combined operating hashrate of approximately 1 exahashes per second (EH/s). The addition of these sites will bring our data center portfolio in Mississippi to 60.5 MW. On September 11, 2024, we closed on our previously announced 45 MW site in Wyoming. The site is expected to contribute an additional 3 EH/s to our hashrate upon completion. The site will feature immersion-cooled Bitcoin mining data centers which will support the latest generation S21 immersion XPs. Press release link: https://bit.ly/3TtsmEo

We are thrilled to announce that S. During his tenure, Matt led CleanSpark from its early days as an alternative energy generator focused on converting biomass into energy using CleanSpark’s patented gasifier technology. He then transitioned CleanSpark into the renewable energy sector, helping to identify critical software that was used to deploy microgrids, most notably at Camp Pendleton. In partnership with CleanSpark’s CEO, Matt has helped raise over a billion dollars in capital. 26 EH/s ✅ We've energized the 50 MW final phase of our 150 MW Bitcoin mining expansion in Sandersville, GA. 65 MW of total capacity became operational with our recent expansions, increasing CleanSpark's hashrate by 3.2 EH/s. “This past week has been monumental for CleanSpark, marked by the full energization of our expansions in Sandersville and Dalton, along with the acquisition of seven facilities in Tennessee. These efforts have allowed us to rapidly expand our hashrate, which we now expect to reach 37 EH/s before the end of 2024,” said Zachary Bradford, CEO. “I’m incredibly grateful to the local community. Our partnership with Sandersville is a prime example of how Bitcoin miners and communities can thrive together.” Press release link: https://bit.ly/4djPhJD

Hopefully this news will Knox-ville your socks off. 🧦 We’ve entered into definitive agreements to acquire 7 Bitcoin mining facilities and certain associated land in the Knoxville, Tennessee, area with 85 MW of immediately available capacity, anticipated to add 5 EH/s to our hashrate once the latest generation S21 pro miners are installed. The cash payments of $27.5 million for the acquisition equate to approximately $324,000 per megawatt. This builds on CleanSpark's strategy of securing high-quality infrastructure opportunities at market-leading valuations. The seven sites range in size from 10 MW to 20 MW. We expect closing at each of the sites on or before September 25, 2024. “With the energization of our Dalton 4 campus last week, we’ve already surpassed 23 EH/s and expect more hashrate to come online this week from the energization of 50 MW of S21 pros in Sandersville. With this additional 5 EH/s expected to begin hashing over the coming weeks, we now expect to achieve 37 EH/s before the end of 2024. As we’ve previously discussed, our timing of the market on mining server purchases intentionally locked in low prices so that we could take advantage of opportunities like this and immediately fill acquired data center space. The GRIID acquisition, our recent closing in Wyoming, and now this new transaction represents the continued execution of our growth strategy. Tennessee has a similar political and energy environment to Georgia, where we’ve deployed nearly $1B of capital and operate nearly 500 MW,” said Zachary Bradford, CEO. “Applying the same winning community-oriented strategy to The Volunteer State is our plan as we expand our presence in the region and continue showcasing how Bitcoin can benefit the local power grid and communities where we’re located.” Full press release here: https://bit.ly/4dXlo2N
