Alert - Scattered Spider threat actor group Scattered Spider’s hackers are launching highly coordinated social engineering tactics... Starting with urgent text phishing, direct phone calls to help desks, or SIM swapping to gain initial access is what is being reported. Once they’ve stolen credentials, these cybercriminals aggressively impersonate employees and call IT service desks, aiming to steal multifactor authentication codes or force password resets. They are reportedly an English-speaking group and young and are effective experts in social engineering tactics.
