This groundbreaking survey collected benchmark data directly from Clery Act practitioners nationwide, providing a detailed look at the current landscape of Clery Act implementation and the challenges and resources institutions are navigating. 📣For this week, I want to spotlight ⭐ one of our contributors to the inaugural edition of HigherEdRisk, the Clery Center. The Clery Center just released 🚀 the results from their insightful 2024 "𝘊𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘈𝘤𝘵 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘥 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘺." This important read is essential for all #higher #education #executives, #boards, and #fiduciaries. With increased #regulatory scrutiny and public attention on the importance of campus #safety, now is the perfect time to elevate your #riskmanagement practices and support strategic investment in #CleryAct compliance. The Clery report states, "While many colleges and universities demonstrate a commitment to Clery Act requirements through the establishment of key roles, training programs, and support mechanisms, significant GAPS remain." So what can be done? The survey data provides higher education leaders with #opportunities to #strengthen campus safety by implementing the following: (1) Foster cross-functional #collaboration between departments to streamline reporting and response protocols.
