Join us for our next education session on 7.11.24: How Building Codes Can Change the Game. While building code sets the minimum standard for building construction, if we all adopted the most current code, we would be building more operationally efficient buildings and could be mitigating the built environment's impact on climate. We have speakers who will give a background on code and how it contributes to a healthier, safer environment. We'll also learn about how Boston was able to update their code requirements to include electrification and decarbonization. Could this be a model for other cities? There will be time for open discussion and Q&A. Many thanks to our event sponsor: Turner Construction Moderator: Matt Setzekorn, Emerald Built Environments Speakers: Emma Hurbanis, Building Codes and Policy Associate, Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance Douglas Fentz, Emeriti Professor, Ferris State University, ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer Jacob Knowles, Chief Sustainability Officer, BR+A Consulting Engineers Colin Schless, Director, Client Decarbonization Services, Turner Construction Register: https://lnkd.in/eKaFR_Ee
