👨⚕️ Meet Jason Reyes, Physician Assistant at West Fresno #CHC! 👨⚕️ Originally from Long Island, NY, Jason graduated from Physician Assistant School in 2017 and has been serving the Central Valley community ever since. With a background in family medicine and urgent care, he’s committed to helping underserved communities at CSV. As the son of Salvadoran immigrants, Jason is proud to connect with Spanish-speaking patients. His passion for medicine began as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a dementia unit, and he's particularly focused on preventive care and advocating for LGBTQAI+ services. Jason is also on a mission to end mental health stigma, inspired by his own journey with depression. Outside of work, he’s all about exploring different cultures, and languages, trying new foods, traveling, fitness, and hanging with his cats 🐱🐈. Con experiencia en medicina familiar y atención urgente, está comprometido a ayudar a las comunidades desatendidas en CSV. Como hijo de inmigrantes salvadoreños, Jason está orgulloso de poder conectarse con los pacientes de habla hispana. Su pasión por la medicina comenzó como Asistente de Enfermería Certificado en una unidad de demencia, y está especialmente enfocado en la atención preventiva y en abogar por los servicios LGBTQAI+. Jason también está en una misión para acabar con el estigma de la salud mental, inspirado por su propia experiencia con la depresión. 🌟 Celebrating Milestones in Maternal Care 🌟 Starting as a labor and delivery nurse at Mercy Southwest, Andrea’s passion for addressing pregnancy complications led her to join Lamont CHC as a CPSP Case Manager in 2019. She was promoted to Case Management Supervisor at CCC in 2022 and now excels as our CPSP Administrator, guiding initiatives across Kern and Fresno counties. Under Andrea's leadership, CSV has made notable strides, including improvements in Prenatal Screening and High-Risk Case Management and successful collaborations with our Nutrition Services WIC Registered Dietician program. Looking ahead, Andrea aims to streamline patient education, refine OB/CPSP processes, and improve postpartum resources. Empowering Health Together! #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth 🌟 On October 4th and 5th, Clinica Sierra Vista teamed up with Kern Radiology @kernradiology to offer a vital service—providing free Pap exams and mammograms to women experiencing homelessness. Thanks to the collaboration between our compassionate Nurse Practitioner Ashton Chase and the street medicine team, alongside the expert staff at Kern Radiology, we conducted 13 Pap exams and 11 mammograms. Free transportation was provided to ensure accessibility for all participants. A big thank you to everyone involved for their dedication and teamwork. This initiative provided essential health services and highlighted the strength of community partnership in making a direct impact on public health. --- ¡Empoderando la Salud Juntos! 🌟 El 4 y 5 de octubre, Clínica Sierra Vista se unió a Kern Radiology @kernradiology para ofrecer un servicio vital: proporcionar exámenes de Papanicolaou y mamografías gratuitos a mujeres en situación de calle.
