This pieceis a humbling reminder of the fragility of life. The author cared for a patient who was a fellow physician. He was brought into the critical care unit after collapsing while treating a patient. They worked tirelessly to stabilize him and identify the underlying cause. It was a tense and uncertain period, but the collective expertise and collaboration ultimately led to a diagnosis of a massive pulmonary embolism. Thanks to swift intervention and a bit of luck, he survived. This experience reinforced the importance of teamwork, critical thinking, and humility in healthcare. It's a constant reminder that even the most experienced among us can face unexpected challenges and that every patient deserves our utmost care and compassion. #MedTwitter The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine https://lnkd.in/gw8F_vxD
