  • CSD welcomed staff members back to school yesterday with the first "Terrific Tuesday" event of the new school year. Terrific Tuesdays are employee engagement activities scheduled throughout the year by the Human Resources Department. The goal of Terrific Tuesday is to build relationships among staff members across the district, enhancing employee job satisfaction and retention. Staff gathered at Clover Harvest yesterday to eat, play games and catch up about their summer vacations. The August Terrific Tuesday was sponsored by Grand Canyon University.

  • The Clover School District (CSD) Accounting and Finance Department has been honored with two awards from prestigious professional organizations for excellence in fiscal management. It is the 12th consecutive year the department has been recognized with these awards. CSD received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). The school district’s financial report for fiscal year 2023 was judged by an impartial panel and was said to be “demonstrating a constructive spirit of full disclosure” in communicating the district’s financial story. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. CSD also received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) for financial reporting for fiscal year 2023. ASBO International Executive Director Jim Rowan says, “Communicating the financial and economic state of a district is so important when engaging with the school community and building their trust. Districts that receive the Certificate of Excellence Award have demonstrated their ability to do that at the highest level.” Ken Love is the Chief Financial Officer. The Accounting and Finance Department includes: Amy Cooper, Director of Finance; George Pendleton, Director of Procurement; Heidi Lineberger, Accounts Payable; Allison Perkins, Administrative Assistant; and Jane Robinson, Payroll. The district’s audit reports dating back to 2004 are available on the district’s website.
