Earlier this month, our team had the privilege of attending the FAAMA Event in Orlando, and what a fantastic gathering it was! The energy in the room was incredible, with so many FAA managers coming together to connect and share their experiences. Dean Kolstad had the honor of joining two FAA managers on stage to talk about their journeys and the impact we’re all seeing in leadership development. It was humbling to see over half the room raise their hands when asked who’s already part of the Cloverleaf community! What stood out most was the dedication and enthusiasm of the FAA leadership, including the VP of ATO, who came by afterward to chat. The @faa-managers-association team created a tremendous environment for meaningful conversations and connections. And yes, we had some fun, too—Epcot with the Guardians of the Galaxy crew was a nice bonus! FAAMA deserves credit for hosting such a valuable and well-organized event. We look forward to keeping the momentum going! #faama #cloverleaf #faa

It's easy to assume that people development challenges are straightforward—lack of time, tight budgets, or disengaged employees. 🙋🏻♀️ But what if these issues are just scratching the surface? The real barriers run deeper. It’s not just about having the right tools or executive buy-in. It’s about how we deliver development opportunities and whether they actually connect with our teams on a personal level. Take engagement, for example. Low participation in development programs is often attributed to a lack of motivation when, in reality, the problem might be that training is too disconnected from the daily workflow. Are we embedding development into the day-to-day, or are we treating it as something separate, something extra? Here’s the thing: If development feels like just another thing to squeeze into an already-packed schedule, of course, engagement is going to be low. We need learning that happens in the flow of work, not just in isolated bursts. Workshops or annual training sessions? Absolutely. They have their place. ✅ But what about the continuous reinforcement people need to apply new skills? And then there’s the issue of personalization. So many platforms promise “personalized” learning, but in practice, they offer broad, one-size-fits-all content based on job roles. That’s not truly meeting individuals where they are or addressing their specific strengths and challenges. It’s no wonder development feels impersonal and disconnected for so many team members. Scaling individualized coaching across an entire organization sounds impossible, right? With limited resources, time, and budget, it can feel like a monumental task. But without offering tailored growth opportunities to everyone—not just a select few—how can leaders expect to build a culture of development? And traditional metrics like engagement scores or post-training surveys don’t always capture the true ROI of people development. How do we know if our efforts are leading to real behavior change, higher performance, or increased retention? The barriers to effective people development are more systemic than we might think. It’s time to look beyond the surface and address the deeper issues that are holding us back from creating meaningful, scalable growth across our organizations. Automated Coaching is a different approach for organizations needing scalable, continuous, and deeply personalized development for people at all levels. Its affordable, unlimited access model, combined with psychometric-based insights, ensures that development is accessible to everyone while driving measurable behavioral change in key areas like communication, teamwork, and collaboration. It’s a practical solution for leaders looking to create lasting development that sticks, not just in theory but in practice. #automatedcoaching
