Shahed’s journey with CLS Health began in 2013 as a part-time chart prepper. Within just three months, she expanded her role to support patient coordination in our sleep lab. By 2014, she embraced a greater challenge and launched our infusion department. In 2017, her dedication earned her the title of Infusion Manager, overseeing not just infusion operations but also managing billing and sleep lab operations. But Shahed’s story didn’t stop there. In 2019, she stepped away from the Sleep Lab Manager role to focus on the clinical side of billing, showcasing her adaptability and commitment to growth. By 2023, she trained and promoted a new leader for the infusion department and took on broader responsibilities in service management, billing, referrals, and call center oversight. And in 2024, Shahed was promoted to Revenue Cycle Manager, leading a team of 27. Her career growth is matched only by her personal resilience. During her time at CLS Health, Shahed also got married, welcomed a child, and earned a double degree in Healthcare Administration and Management—balancing her personal and professional life with unwavering dedication. Shahed’s secret to success is simple: hands-on learning and immersing herself in every department she leads. When she took on the call center, she didn’t just manage from a distance; she worked the phones herself to understand the workflow firsthand. “The key to my growth was being able to be a part of each department to understand it better,” Shahed shares. Shahed’s journey is a powerful testament to the growth that happens when opportunity meets dedication. We’re proud to have her leading with empathy, expertise, and the unique perspective gained from her experience across CLS Health. We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Yazan Alzawahreh, a senior medical student with a passion for advancing his skills in real-world settings. Reflecting on his time with us, Yazan shared how the hands-on nature of his rotation left a lasting impact on his journey in medicine: “My recent clinical elective rotation has further reinforced my commitment to pursuing a career in medicine, where I aim to provide compassionate and evidence-based care to my future patients.” During his clinical elective, Yazan had the invaluable opportunity to shadow experienced physicians, immersing himself in the intricacies of patient care and medical practice. He observed the diagnostic process in real-time, gaining a deeper understanding of how theoretical knowledge is applied in clinical settings. Watching our doctors interact with patients, he also learned the importance of empathy, active listening, and clear communication in building trust and rapport. Yazan expressed his gratitude for our team’s support and guidance, saying: “I am deeply grateful to the entire team at CLS Health, especially Dr. Issa, Dr. Ben, and Dr. Dweik. Your expertise, dedication, and willingness to teach have been truly inspiring, leaving a lasting impact on my journey as a medical student.” Yazan’s experience serves as a reminder of the profound impact that a supportive and immersive clinical rotation can have on future medical professionals. Naser Elkhalili, MD, dedicated rheumatologist at CLS Health, recently delivered an informative presentation at the Forum Theatre during the Grand Living at Tuscan Lakes educational hour.   Dr. Elkhalili shared his expert insights on arthritis in the elderly, helping community members better understand this prevalent condition and its available treatment options.
