Back in May, Clubhouse staff, faculty, members and supporters started on the Clubhouse Awareness Walk "in" South Carolina. As of this week, Lotus House (Topeka, Kansas) has made it to Nashville, Tennessee—with a picture to boot! The walk will continue west toward California, looping through 14 towns of individual Clubhouses, landing back in South Carolina—a total of 8,377 miles. Accompanied by a theme song and regional dishes of each Clubhouse geography, this walk is the first of its kind intended to unify the Clubhouse voice in a power of numbers, whilst spreading awareness and achieving wellness goals along the way. Celebrating Equity! Clubhouses around the world are hosting events this week highlighting how #EquityWORKS at the Clubhouse. Here are a few examples: Clubhouse Gibraltar will be hosting a Coffee Morning and an Open Day on Thursday 10th October from 10am to 12pm. Members of the public are invited to attend to learn information about the Clubhouse and to talk about the topic of mental health. Frontier House will be hosting an Open House event in recognition of World Mental Health Day! San Angelo Clubhouse will host their 5th annual RISE to Recovery Ambassador Luncheon on 10/10!
