Rafa Nadal had plenty of reasons to stay low but he's not wired that way. Nadal powered through countless of injuries en route to multiple titles, earning the status as one of the game's GOATs. He'll be playing his final tournament in nowhere else but Spain at the Davis Cup finals. All eyes will be on his last dance.

As a rookie, Caitlin Clark led Indiana Fever to the playoffs and the WNBA to their highest viewed game in league history. Then, the second her season ends, the WNBA playoffs lost half its viewers. And it gets worse. The other semi-final between the Minnesota Lynx and Connecticut Sun? Just 654,000 viewers in Game 1. AND attendance went down. While the Fever were able to fill 90% of Mohegan Sun Arena, both second round matchups filled just 75% and 50% of their respective arenas. But it’s not all bad. Because the New York Liberty and Las Vegas Aces still had the most viewed WNBA semi-final game in 22 years- making this a genuine achievement and sign of respect for the league. But this whole ignoring the gravity of Caitlin Clark thing? That's over. Been over.

College Football is becoming the "wild west" of sports. After NIL, you can actually make a life out college. But don't forget about the OGs. Like the OLDEST D1 college football player: 34-year-old Matt Ganyard. What Ryan Williams is doing at 17 is crazy. What Matt Ganyard did at 34 is a completely different kind of crazy. He first stepped foot on the Virginia campus in 2008…as a club soccer player. Then he tried out for the football team his sophomore year. He was cut and ended up watching games from the stands. It could’ve all ended there, BUT after graduating in 2011, he trained for 2 years to join the Marine Corps, and continued to kick. THEN in 2022, he returned to normal life, had 2 kids, and went BACK to UVA as a grad student. Could he play? Yes. Since he was on active duty for 10 years, his eligibility remained intact. So he tried out, made the team, and kicked his first game in 2023. Matt Ganyard lived Ryan Williams' life twice, and in a very different way, he found his way.

At one point, Woj and Shams were protegé and prodigy. But fans forget they had beef. Woj made his name at Yahoo Sports. That's where "Woj bombs" came from- breaking major NBA news on Twitter. He was so legendary with it, that a 21 year old aspiring reporter named Shams Charania came begging to learn from him. Woj couldn't resist. Woj trained Shams well -- too well! When Woj decided to leave Yahoo Sports for ESPN in 2017, Shams took over at Yahoo Sports and became Woj's rival. For years, the two competed to be the first to break NBA news on Twitter! Over the years, Shams took his talents over to The Athletic and other media outlets. But today, he has once again followed in Woj's footsteps and will attempt to fill his shoes as ESPN's newest senior NBA reporter. Move over Woj Bombs. It's time for the Sham Wows!
