Teachers were blown away by how this technology will ignite students' interest and deepen their mastery. "To be able to have kids put the headsets on and be able to move around, stand up, and actually engage in the material that we're giving them where they're learning for themselves is going to be monumental," raved the teachers after testing out the VR headsets. Prisms transforms abstract ideas into vivid 3D experiences, finally answering that age-old student question: "When are we ever going to use this?" By showing real-life applications, it hooks even the most disengaged learners. Want to see this fantastic technology in action? Read more: https://lnkd.in/ea8SKxus

  • We are lucky to have educators like Ms. Wright. Teachers are the heart of our schools. Congratulations to Karen Wright for being named District Teacher of the Year! Ms. Wright has dedicated her career to helping struggling students, like the one she helped learn to read after working with her every morning. Her kindness and creativity inspire colleagues and students alike. When one of Wright's students was undergoing cancer treatment, she had her class tie their dominant arm behind their backs to understand the challenge. The dancing and singing ELA teacher is beloved by students and mentors new teachers. She encourages them to find positive, energetic veterans to learn from. Wright credits the mentors she had as a new Cobb teacher decades ago for setting her up for success.
