Join us in welcoming Will Vick and Christopher Gantwarg to Cobec! Will is from Rocky Mount, NC and is a proud Penn State Alum. His background includes technical and program management, as well as coordination experience predominantly on Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems, military communications systems, and the NASA International Space Station. Beyond that, his experience includes FAA workforce staffing standards development, systems implementation, transition planning, test and evaluation, program management planning and oversight, IV&V, requirements analysis and development, acquisition planning, software development and corporate business development. Welcome Will! . Chris is from and currently lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended Penn State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering and a Master of Professional Studies in Data Analytics. Chris started his professional career as an Industrial Engineer working for the Navy Systems Management Activity (NSMA) within the United States Navy, providing acquisition, cost, and data analysis. Cobec is proud to offer comprehensive data solutions as part of our core services. Our work includes data visualization, data analytics, data science, as well as big data and geospatial analysis.   Cobec’s Geospatial team helps our clients elevate their geographic data and continuously innovate in the Geographic Information System (GIS) space. As part of that, we maintain an active membership in the Esri Partner Network and sent a group of Cobecians (Alessandra Caico, Jon Cardiello, Aaron Willems) to their recent Esri User Conference in San Diego. It has been one year since we lost our dear coworker and friend, Gene Crabtree. Over the past year, his absence has been profoundly felt, yet his spirit and legacy continue to inspire us daily. Join us in remembering our colleague by reflecting on the kind words Hisham Jalil shared about Gene last summer: “Gene was not just an exceptional professional; he was an integral part of our close-knit community. His dedication, enthusiasm, passion, and unwavering commitment to our company's success were evident in every endeavor he undertook. Beyond his remarkable contributions to our company, Gene was a warm and genuine person, touching the lives of everyone he encountered. He had a way of brightening our days with his infectious smile, his sense of humor, and his ability to make us feel valued. He was not only a colleague; he was a friend to many, a confidante, and a source of inspiration.” In honor of Gene’s memory, we are renaming our ‘War Room’ conference room to the ‘Crabtree Room’. We have also donated to the Dravet Syndrome Foundation, which supports a cause close to the Crabtree family. Cobec employees knock it out of the park every day for our clients, so we thought it would be fun to see their skills on the field, too! Recently some of our local team and their families got together to play in our Cobec summer softball game.
