In 1997, NASA astronaut David Wolf cast the first-ever vote from orbit aboard the Russian space station Mir, thanks to legislation passed in Texas. Since then, technology has continued to evolve, enabling astronauts to exercise their democratic rights, hundreds of miles above Earth. Through encrypted ballots transmitted via NASA’s communication network, even those orbiting in space can have their voices heard. Be sure yours is heard too! Happy Election Day! 🌌
