This morning, #CODX announced it is the recipient of a grant award from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for its tuberculosis test planned for the company's Co-Dx PCR platform. This is the third grant award from the Gates Foundation this year, following two earlier awards to support the development of the tuberculosis test as well as a test for human papillomavirus (HPV). The new Co-Dx platform technology is expected to play a role in the decentralization of #diagnostics, allowing more patients to benefit from real-time PCR diagnostics, including those in areas of the world where infrastructure has been a barrier to access. #POCT #pcrtesting #stopTB The Co-Dx PCR platform and its associated products are subject to FDA review and are not available for sale. https://lnkd.in/dYBZQHCT

About us
MISSION STATEMENT Co-Diagnostics, Inc (Co-Dx) was founded in 2013 with a mission to democratize access to molecular diagnostics, to transform healthcare delivery and to create a positive impact on a global scale by enabling availability of robust, high-quality, affordable polymerase chain reaction (“PCR”) technology—especially to regions of the world where the need is greatest. Our patented Co-Primers™ technology is paving the way for innovation in disease detection and life sciences research, while we are preparing to launch an innovative at-home and point-of-care real-time PCR testing platform. The purpose of the new Co-Dx PCR Pro™ instrument and tests is to make high-quality real-time PCR diagnostics (the gold-standard of infectious disease testing) widely accessible where it is needed most, including in remote areas, at the point-of-care or even at home, all at affordable prices.

The CDC has reported nearly 200 cases of #dengue virus in New York and New Jersey. Experts have sounded the warning that climate change is expanding the geographic range of disease-carrying mosquitoes and the effects are being seen in many areas of the U.S., with this being the latest example. Onsite, real-time #PCR mosquito testing is a key to managing these expanding vectors, and Co-Diagnostics is playing an important role in helping to safeguard the public health. https://lnkd.in/egDkStvg #vectorcontrol
