When USDC launched in 2021, it was a moment of celebration for our team. After five years of our Fellowship, our model had convinced the new administration of the importance of investing in early-career talent. We're always excited to see Coding it Forward alumni continue their journeys in #publicinteresttech through Digital Corps. Congratulations to Alyson Lam, Alyssa Li, Christina Andrade, Colton Lapp, Jacob Depinet and Kylie Hunter for being selected as 2024 USDC Fellows!
Join us in welcoming the third cohort of U.S. Digital Corps Fellows! 🎉 This year's recruitment cycle saw the largest number of applicants ever, with applications opening shortly after the signing of the AI Executive Order and the launch of the National AI Talent Surge. Over the next two years, 70 motivated early-career technologists will support 19 agencies, with over 40 Fellows supporting AI and AI-enabling projects across government. Our 2024 Fellows are recent graduates, career changers, veterans, immigrants, parents, and more. We are thrilled to welcome them to USDC and can't wait to see all they will accomplish! https://lnkd.in/eFrfUHFp

Coding it Forward is proud to be a part of a White House commitment to advancing the field of public interest technology by investing in the talent that enables the work. It has been inspiring to watch this ecosystem grow over the last decade and we are committed to continuing to provide early-career pathways into local, state, and federal government. Thank you to the Ford Foundation, The Patrick J. McGovern Foundation, Pivotal Ventures, and the Siegel Family Endowment for your partnership in strengthening pathways into public service. Since 2017, we've placed close to 700 Fellows in government, and your support will further enable our efforts to meet the demand from thousands of early-career technologists across the country. We’ll be sharing the impact that investing in early-career talent can have at our annual Demo Day in a few weeks. Stay tuned for further information early next week.
